Hood protection

Has anyone installed the AVS Aeroskin Hood shield on thier rig? It looks low profile and clean but not sure I want to use that 3M tape on the hood. Upside no drilling into your hood.

I’ve had mine installed right on top of the clear bra, no problems with the 3m tape. Been that way for about 2 and a half years, and over 75,000 miles

Yep, been driving it 300 to 400 miles a week for the last 3 years so I figured I’d double up the protection. Especially with the rocks on the colorado roads in the winter

Nothing better than a nice rock chip to round out the first 1000k miles. One rock two nice chips. Anyone able to get the embedded paint out of the shield? The little logo thing came off easy but underneath is like an engraving with paint.  Wouldn't care too much but its uneven and looks like bad.

Pretty sure you'd have to sand it down and repaint it.

I love mine! Got the AVS Aeroskin colormatch. Easy install and you can barely notice it.

ya I was wanting one but they don't offer the metallic blue yet for my 18    I emailed them a few weeks back and was told they don't know if or when they will offer it.  so I guess id have to with the dark tinted generic one they've had forever
