It's really not necessary. Just did the swap myself and the console doesn't rattle without it

I back ordered it from the dealer anyway last week while trying to find one locally (no joy locally) and it showed up in less than 4 days.  Might have just got lucky but its not an expensive part so it might be worth taking the chance on the back order.

is this what you are looking for? Says in stock, but dang that's alot for something really not needed

Lots of GM sites say it is in stock but it isn't. I'm just trying to do the upgrade the best I can.
