New Paint for 2018

I just ordered a 2018 GMC 3500 4x4 Duramax Denali. When I requested Summit White, I was told that they don’t make this truck with Summit White that the new white is “Frost”. AND I had to pay an additional $750 to get the premium paint. Anybody know about this new white color?  I’ve seen pictures and like it but what happened to Summit White? Are they fazing it out?

Summit White isn’t available on the Denali package for 2018.  Other than that, it is still available per the order guide.

Yea looks like Summit White was good on an HD Denali up to 2017 and dropped for 2018 to White Frost.  White Frost has been in use since 2016 and its "new" to the HD.  White Frost replaced White Diamond Tricoat, and White Frost looks A LOT better in my opinion than White Diamond ever did.  You may be able to find one on a local lot to see it in person.

In my opinion, it looks A LOT worse than white diamond.

Both the frost and diamond look like  over spray on summit white.

The new "maroon" is brighter than previous years.  I don't like it  as much.

White Frost Tricoat was my second choice.

 

I like it a lot better than white diamond, which to my eye always looked like it was dirty.

 

Stone Blue Metallic and Summit white are both gone from HD Denali, but still available on the other HD trims.

 

On HD Denali there are 6 colours and Onyx Black is the only one that does not have an upcharge.
