2014 silverado trans shot!

Well the bad continues. Ive noticed a vibration that nobody can seem to figure out for a long time now. Finally cant deal with it anymore so brought it to dealership. Was told my trans has an issue causing the vibration and noise and they want 1090 dollars just to open it up and figure out whats wrong...Any pointers??? i am at 104000 miles so just over my powertrain but have had the truck in multiple times reporting the issue to 3 different dealerships. Would anyone think GM would assist?

The dealerships have history. The service manager should offer to do the GM calculator for assistance. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get GM assistance on this. I doubt the vibration is from the transmission though. The dealer will have to do a policy calculator to determine GM’s participation and your participation. They have this tool for situations like this. Don’t let them convince you otherwise. Every GM dealer has access to it. If they won’t use it, call 1-800-222-1020 and report the dealer.

Well they are saying that I have a strong case and that GM will "probably" contribute to the fix but they wont know until they drop the trans and get it open which will cost me 1090. They said GM will not cover that because they dont know currently what is wrong until they get it opened up. Does that sound right???

If it is the trans find a reputable transmission shop and have them do the rebuild instead of the dealer.

GM is kicking in a whopping 750 dollars. to say im pissed is an understatement
