LED headlights

Hey all,

New to the forum and was wondering if you guys could help me out. Looking to get some LED bulbs for my 2014 silverado and was wondering if anyone could help me out or give me their opinion on which ones are the best/brightest but not absurdly expensive.  Thanks!

Step 1, purchase projector headlights or actual headlights designed for LED bulbs. Step 2, install LED bulbs. If you put LED's in your stock LT headlights you will blind the crap out of oncoming traffic...

All of em are bright but they just cant focus on a spot out in front where you need it - especially in the rain. You will see signs lit up way down the road, just not the road. Hids are better, as are silverstars with led fogs. Ive wasted a lot of money learning...

LEDs in stock projectors are a bad idea. I had them and couldn’t see crap at night. I have since changed out to HIDS and regret not doing it when I first bought the truck. The output is truly amazing and they are focused perfectly. I have LEDs in my dogs and the combo provides excellent visibility at night.

I'm doing HIDs as well.  Did you keep hallogen for the high beans or switch to LED for those?

So HID's work with stock halogen projectors but LED's dont? Why is that?

Hid-power.com ran their hid in my 2002 with no issues (6k with 55w ballast) now running their leds in my lows and fogs

I just checked out their website and for 2014-2015 they only offer low beam. Does that mean you loose high beam?

The 14-15 uses a single bulb. It is the low/high, so the same bulb is used for both low/high functions.

Yeah its a dual filament bulb and i have the factory projecters but i light up both sides of the road with fogs, if they ever went out i would probably get rigid pods to replace

Is it just plug and play for the most part? Looking at their kits. Mine will be slightly different as I have a Silverado so i will need to different ones if I want to have the high beams HID as well.

I'm looking at the kit but there is no mention of a wire harness needed.

100% plug and play and their shipping is quick and great customer service, ill have to look at mine when i get off but i chose LED because the HIDs get real hot and you dont have to wait on the LEDs to warm up

The HID is a more focused light beam where the LEDs I had weren’t. The projector housing scattered the light more with the LEDs than the HID or Halogens. The halogens weren’t bright enough for me so I went with The retrofit source kit.
