Yea everything I’ve been looking at is in the 60-65 lb range so I’m expecting that. I have E rated now so I’m used to it riding like a brick. How have the C rating tires been holding up for you? And are they 3 peak rated?

Held up great so far. I’ve got around 15k miles on them. Still lots of tread and just as quiet when I put them on. I don’t tow with this truck so I don’t know how a C rated tire would do. I run around 40 psi in them seems to be the sweet spot. My wife’s have barely 1000 miles on them.

Been thinking about new tires lately. Either going with 295/70/17 again, or up to a 285/75/17. Top picks are:

Falken wildpeak at3w
Cooper at3 xlt
Nitto ridge grappler
Maybe ko2s? Still undecided on these

Any opinions, brand or size?

I had wildpeaks but didn't like the traction in snow to well. Mud was fine as long as you keep the spinning food so they clean out. But my big pick against them was bad wear and a bit stiff and heavy. Have KO2s now and love them as far as ride and traction plus I think they look better. Only have about 20k miles on them so I don't know for sure how wear will be but my coworker has a set on his 17 with over 80k on them.

Yea the wild peaks are pretty heavy, but I think all of the tires I was looking at were within 4-5 lbs of each other. I’m going to be over 60lbs per tire regardless lol

This is a really nice build! I'm setting mine up very similar (2.5" in the front, 2" in the rear), have a set of Method 305s on the way 17x8.5, 0 offset and I'm looking at the Cooper AT3 XLT in 285/75r17. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind.

How do you like them so far?

Did you have to do the complete norcal trim or just tie the felt liner back, or anything at all for rubbing?

Do you take your truck off-road? Can you get full suspension travel with those tires?

How have they affected your mpg?

So far they’re great, but I only have about 2k miles on them with no Offroad time. But they are quiet on road

No NorCal trim, I shaved a little bit off the plastic corner pieces and pulled the liners back but that’s it

MPG is about the same as my old tires, 12-14 city 17-18 hwy

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. So, no rub at all once you trimmed the plastic and pulled the liners back? My truck is my daily and I use it for camping / overlanding and trying to avoid rubbing everytime if lit a bump.

Parts have started showing up, just waiting on the wheels now. I went with motofab 2.5" strut level and 2" blocks for the rear with cognito UCAs. I'm about to order kings but they have estimated 25 week lead time. I'll post a picture or 2 when I'm done with the initial lift/wheels/tires.
