While visiting my father in law he had AC serviced done. It wasn’t in service long. The upgrade was recommended because of the ever changing Freon laws. The charge was 100$ per lb. Every change made for so called climate change usually hits low income people. While owning a salvage yard years ago most car bought to us couldn’t pass emissions. It was cheaper for low income people to go to a tote your note lot than fix the car to pass emissions. We were astonished to hear another Freon change was coming making a the fairly new unit obsolete before actually wearing out.
