Too bad you established a poor relationship with your dealer.  My local GM dealership has 2 or 3 service advisers on duty at all times and I can usually find a person to help.  I wouldn't hesitate to ask your question at another dealership.  Individuals at competing service departments don't limit their service to the vehicles sold at their store.

I didn't establish a poor relationship with them. They established a poor relationship with me. But yes, I do hope that I can have the nearby dealership care for it and address warranty issues, etc. I'm just worried they will be pissed I didn't buy there. The auto industry has gone to hell.

Try approaching the nearby dealership's service department with an attitude that they would like your business and that the auto industry is in good shape.  Individuals tend to live up to your expectations.  If you think they'll be pissed and their livelihood has gone to hell...

That's a valid point, and I fully intend to let them know that I greatly appreciate any help they can provide. But I also like to be prepared for the contingency...

I did a little looking around and found a customer service number that was listed in the article for this particular package

I bought my GMC from a dealer 30 miles away.   Local Chevy dealer didn’t offer equitable trade, even tho they had an LTZ I really liked.

But I communicated professionally with them through the process and they know why I purchase elsewhere.    But the Chevy place does all my service.

Brand new here and brand new to Silverado (owner for one day). Bought my Silverado High Country at the worst dealership in the country, and was given zero orientation of the vehicle or how things work. Most of it I can figure out easy enough or by RTFM, but the truck has the High Desert Package which includes nice storage bins on either side of the bed. But I can't figure out how to lock them. I've tried pressing the button, locking the truck completely, and even driving to see if drive-away-locking would do it. Nothing works. The storage bins are of little use if they can't be secured. HELP. I'm sure I'll feel stupid once someone explains how easy it is.

Okay - problem solved. I had a hunch it would be something simple. I went to my local dealer and they quickly figured out that I just wasn't closing the lid hard enough. They also speculated that as the new seals break in some with use it will probably require less force to latch/lock them.

Was any kind of High desert owners manual ever found?

Today I can't get one of my side boxes to open. It clicks, but nothing happens. I'm curious if there if a manual release somewhere.
