Hello Guys,

I just traded in my 2012 Chevy 1500 Z71 and got a brand new 2018 Chevy 1500 Z71 with stock 18 inch wheels. Im sure its been asked but ive tried searching the forum, google, custom offsets etc. and cant seem to find the answer. Im having a ready lift 2.25 leveling kit installed and want to get  the largest tire I can get. I found plenty of info on the stock 20’s and 22’s and aftermarket 18’s just not the stock. So is anyone running 33x12.50 on the stock 18’s? If so please tell me what brand tire too. Any help would be appreciated.

Just bought the Bilstein 5100s and leveled my z71. I went with 33x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with stock 18s and I have 0 rubbing issues with no trimming needed.a862ebf2882c565acc73a26436410c3a.heic5405d8d350252a82e041c6193401c26a.heic

keep in mind upping tire size on a stock truck will throw the speedo off if you have a high gear ratio

I was looking at the Nitto Trail Grapplers so I’m wondering if the more agreasisive thread would cause me an issue. Do you have plenty of room or is it just enough? I had the 275/70r18 grapplers on my 2012 with no issue but they were nearly as wide. Can you post a picture of the side? Curious how far they stuck out. Also what size lift do you get with those  Bilsteins? Thank you for your help.

Yeah I had 275/70r18 grapplers on my last Chevy so I know it will be off a couple. Eventually I’ll get a tuner and fix it. Thank you.

I have a 3inch MOTOFAB level with 295/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with 1/4 wheel spacers and they barely rub the upper control arms.

Ya I don’t think the more aggressive tread would be a significant enough difference to cause you any issues, and I feel like there is plenty of room but I haven’t actually gotten down there and looked how close it is at full tilt. The bilsteins give you 0-2” so at full extension it’s a perfect level . I’ll take some pictures when I get back home of the tires at full tilt so hopefully you can see if there is enough room and I will also take some from a side view showing how much they stick out.

Here are the pictures I promised you!
The tires really don’t stick out at all.

Full tilt front of the tire plenty of rooma7743ef898f12d5bfdd6a19f89bb416a.heic
Full tilt back of the tire: there is actually more room then the picture shows, just under an inch, just hard to get a good angle for the picture 801a220a710926b5315d48c4e5913471.heic

I appreciate the help and pictures. I really thought they would have sticked out a little further. Thats a good thing though. I eventually want to get new wheels but I just can’t get them at this moment. Tires are more of I priority at the moment. Just want to make sure what I buy will work now and in the future. Thanks again.

Ya that’s what I was wondering. I have the ReadyLift 2.25 leveling kit and on their website it says up to a 33x11.50 tire. It also says a half inch spacer may be needed if using stock wheels. I went ahead and bought 275/70/r18 Trail Grapplers since I knew for sure they would fit but I’m really wishing I would have got the 33x12.50.

2.25 billet aluminum ready lift here with 285/60/20’s = 34’s on a +1 offset with trimming on liner. The exact same size with BFG KO2’s barely rubbed. Apparently, KO2’s are cut smaller diameter.

I know they fit with an aftermarket wheel but there is hardly any info with the stock 18 inch wheels. Im

just not ready to pull the trigger on aftermarket wheels at the moment. Readylift’s website says if using the stock wheel I can’t go wider than a 11.50 without using a spacer. I’m wondering if it has to do with the new UCA’s that come with the kit. I might just got by Discount Tire and try out a 33x12.50 tire and find out myself.

My neighbors new Chevy truck fit the 275/60/20 just fine before he did the level then rubbing started. Apparently, new stamped UCA’s are in late 15’s through-8’s versus machined aluminum ones before. Once he did level he had rubbing on full turn lock then bought new wheels +18 which fixed everything keeping the 275/60/20
