Auto 4x4 Noise

Had mine looked at under warranty at the dealership for a loud noise almost whining/grinding. Totally normal apparently. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then get it checked out.

Thanks, noise is back... I guess I'll find out when the snow flies if its ok or not. I had a 2010 5.3 1500 and I remember I could drive in auto on dry pavement (summer) with no noticeable difference. Now with my 17 6.2, I'm getting noise and a lot of vibration in the gas pedal at certain (lower) speeds. Wish I had tried auto on pavement before launching.

You can shift from 2HI to Auto or 4HI at any speed, it will shift just fine. As said, 4LO requires you to be at a complete stop to get into it.
