My Replacement LTZ Z71

I’m pretty sure that I’m going to go with a black one again.  Would like to get a ‘19, but with all of the ‘18s still on the lots, I may take advantage of those deals.  I’d prefer a Midnight Edition, but we’ll see what is out there, when the DR says that I can start putting weight on my broken foot again.  My wife is pushing for me to get a different color, PTSD thing from our collision.  I’m thinking that if I do get a different color, it will either be White, Red, or Blue, in that order.  If I do get a white one, I want to make it look like a stormtrooper.  Looking for what those of you with the white ones did to make them look like stormtroopers.  If I go with red, I’m looking at doing the same thing, Imperial Guards. Blue will stay as is, when I buy it.  If I do anything with the blue one, I’ll black out the chrome, maybe.

Black looks the best “only” with nice wheel and tire package as well as trim but the hottest temperature wise to deal with and considering most likely it’ll be kept outside I’d be looking at white, the easiest to keep clean. I’ve had them all, here’s my 18, SLT 6.2 and you can kinda see the difference with nice wheel and trim package. Difference between White and Dark Colors while in the sun is enormous, especially when it comes to damaging/warping of dash in high temps. Btw, in 8 months I’ve had my truck washed about 6 times and still looks great!

Got a call from CHP, yesterday, they found the idiot that caused our accident.  The report still has to run through its usual gambit, before they can openly give us the name.  Tomorrow, we are going to our lawyer’s office and getting that started.  Afterwards, we may go to AV Chevy and look at getting that started too.  See what 19s they have on their lot.

Good luck! [emoji1303]

Not yet.  Will find out more when the report comes out.

Store front cameras or intersection cameras as well as checking around local areas looking for the type of damaged vehicle that hit you or just someone that did the right thing, turned his/her ass in. Good luck and God Bless

I do too. BUT, I’m not going to waste my bullet(s).  But we are going to hit him/her where it hurts, their pocket book. My wife and I will be attending his/her criminal trial, and testifying if need be.

Might be limited to the extent of their liability coverage, if they have any. Will be interesting and probably a long process. Good luck.

The cost of dash cams is so low now, one needs to invest in one.  It will only protect us in this type of situation.  I picked one up for $34 and total cost for SD card and to hard wire it made it out to be around $75.  Money well spent IYAM.

Sorry to hear and glad no major injuries.

There are tons of 18's out there. I'm sure you can find one and the deals will be made since 19's are hitting the lots now.  Good luck.

Their 18s had some good deals, but the best ones were on their double/extended cabs.  I left them a list of exactly what I’m looking for.

Happened on a 2-lane road up on the mountain. 3 vehicles involved, no contact hit & run.

Got 3 on the way, forward/back facing, they’ll be here soon, putting one pair in each of our vehicles.

Great news! I am sure it was some middle aged person on their way to work and a bee stung them.... Only kidding! Hope the person that did it has money. It would be a shame if it was an illegal with no license and the only paperwork was a deportation order.

Been there, done that. El Paso parking lot. Dude let his one ton roll backwards over the hood and front fenders of my Corvette. No license, No insurance and on the wrong side of the boarder. Day labor. Even my uninsured policy wouldn't cover it. No police report, just escorted him across the boarder. Cop though it was funny. Me not so much.

Doesn’t it make you wonder though, Americans are subjected to (literally) “unconstitutional” interrogation tactics by some law enforcement and you can’t check for proof of insurance crossing into the most powerful and civilized country on the planet??!!

It was my deciding factor about getting some, just been researching for what I wanted.

Update as you go, I’m assuming, the most concealable camera would probably best fit in front of rear view mirror?

That’s where I plan on putting the front ones, on my daughter’s Cruze, my wife’s CR-V, and on my next Silverado.  For the rear ones:

-  Next to the brake light on the Cruze.

-  Probably TDC on the back window, on the tailgate of the CR-V.

-  Behind either the left/right headrest on the Silverado.

I’m looking at this one (good reviews) as my first dash cam considering it takes up less depth and going from there.
