Nothing wrong with Racing. Nothing wrong with you guys that really dig turbo engines. For me, turbo's are like cheating.

After-all, a woman is not the same without makeup!

I am just curious as to Why Traditional V8 engines are compared to the newer modern Turbo Engines.

It is a no brainer that a turbo is going to outperform a naturally aspirated V8 any day as long as the engines are similar in architecture and displacement.

I guess a fair comparison or test can be made to Ford's 2.7 Turbo once the 2.7L Chevy Turbo Silverado hits the market.

Because that's what the manufacturers are offering in similar vehicles.

On a DD 1/2 ton, choices turbo vs cylinder deactivation V8, I’m going turbo. There’s always the 5.0.

I recently have the switch a few months ago to an 18 f150 2.7l tt 10 speed 3.73 rear ratio.   I can say this little engine would leave my old 13 silverado 6.2l in the dust.    I love the power and mpg I get out of it.   Sport mode is awesome.   Normal driving I get 21 mpg and my last road trip I got 27 mpg.    Still miss the v8 sound but I guess I can deal with it.

Which Engine is still going to be chugging down the highway in 10 years or 150,000 Miles from now?

5.3 EcoTech  or  Ford 3.5 EcoBoost Turbo ??

Both.
