Apologies if I missed it but how long did this adventure take?  I like saving money but my time has value too.

About 1 hour longer. California gas averages $3.87 per gallon, while Bullhead City, AZ I left was only $2.43 per gallon. It made sense driving back slow because I can't get this deal anymore. We have junk politics in California, that's why our gas prices are too high.

From empty to full tank (assuming 33 gallons), it would cost me almost $50 more in California than Arizona. Bill and expense add up really quick if I fail to buy in Arizona again.

The new 2.7L I4 turbo is rated 1 MPG LESS on highway than 4.3L V6. What do you think? Pick up your new 2018 Silverado or Sierra with 4.3L V6 today before it's gone forever.

Because of that news, I will vote the 4.3L V6 Ecotec3 as the best engine General Motors ever produced in history, based on its reliability, durability, power, and fuel economy in one compact package.

Not me.  Best I have gotten so far was a hand calculated 23 MPG driving like grandma on a secondary road.  That was over a 200 mile + stretch.  I do get a lot of fun per gallon though if I put my foot into it.
