XM channels

My 2016 Silverado has the factory XM radio that tops out around Ch. 225-230 (somewhere in that neighborhood.) Is there anyway to get these radios to get higher channels (like in the 300s)?

 

Do the newer GM trucks have radios capable of the higher channels?

It looks like 300 and up are streaming only according to the XM web site.

The higher channels are the Sirius ones.  When XM and Sirius merged years ago they kept some channels separate.  Unfortunately you can only get them on vehicles that have Sirius-capable radios (GM vehicles are XM-capable).

Thanks for the replies. I only ask because I saw a press release today of a new SiriusXM channel devoted to all things Big Ten Conference and it will air on Ch. 372.

I just checked I have all channels XM and Sirus 150+ streaming All access also Navtraffic and travel link. For whatever reason my girls truck only has XM basic. HAHA don't know why it's free to us. Maybe I will upgrade and tell her it's a gift...See if I get lucky for that!
