Throttlebody port and polish

Recommended Posts

Just spent the afternoon porting and polishing my Tahoe’s throttlebody...my initial thoughts? I couldn’t be happier to have done this. Mid to high range power is where I feel a boost in throttle responsiveness and power. The kickdown is also a lot more intuitive and kicks in sooner. I do want to clarify that I already have an engine/transmission tune but even with the tune my main complaint has always been that the engine runs out of steam quickly after 4k rpms. Now the power band has shifted a bit towards the high end making the Tahoe feel more like a musclecar rather than a towing vehicle.
