Vinyl Care.

I've yet to properly wash+wax my truck and just been sticking to the wand washes but come spring it definatly needs to be done.  My real concern is with waxing and the vinyl.  Should you wax the vinyl? how do you prevent getting the wax buildup along the edges leaving a noticeable white line?  Any point in  clay barring the vinyl?

Micro fiber wash mitt, dont clay the vinyl.  Lay a peice of painters tape along the vinyl edge when you wax.  There is a "spray sealant" for vinyl

For the vinyl tonneau cover on my box I use Meguiers vinyl & rubber spray, not wax. If you get wax on the matte finish plastic such as makes up the handles I have found that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works well to take off the wax there. I also use the same vinyl spray on the rubber door seals to keep them from drying and cracking.
