TPS system malfunction

After rotating the tires I attempted to reprogram the TPS. I used the same relearn tool as the first two times i did it, however this time it only let me get the two front tires done and would not relearn the rear two. I tried starting the process over and it let me do one tire and then quit. Now all four tires are reading “- -“ in the display, the system will not relearn any tire and I can’t get it reset, even after i disconnected the battery. Any suggestions fellas?

Yes, I checked that first. The old one was still pretty good, but I put a new one in anyway.

Not sure what is up, odd that the batteries in the sensors would go bad so early and all of them at the same time.  Maybe take it out for a drive and come back and try it?  Don't really know what else to do.

I'm sure you played around with it but try putting the antenna stub on the learning tool at random positions on the tire. The first time I did my tire rotation I had 2 tires that learned immediately after I put the tool on the top of the schrader valve and the other two I had to move the tool around on the sidewall of the tire to get it to learn. I doubt with how new your truck is that your tpms batteries had died on those two tires.

Just try fiddling around with the position of the tool and you may get it to start working again. Since you reset the system you will never get those tires to show up until you successfully learn them again since your truck forgot about those tires.
