What’s the best plug and play fog light that actually lights up the road? I’ve tried multiple high end bulbs and though they’re bright when looking at them, they’re dim while driving.

I have 1 driver side eagle eye headlight that i would sell if anyones interested, the headlight is in great shape, the only deal is the projectors squirrel finder needs adjusted. 80 shipped

x2 on the morimoto vehicle specific xb fogs for awesome performance. However, for true plug n play, diode dynamics just developed an LED that took them forever because they designed it to mimick the beam pattern from a halogen bulb. Give me a couple minutes and I’ll get a link for you, but the idea is they use the halogen reflector or projector perfectly.

Below is a picture of how they mimick stock beam pattern. There is a slight noticeable bleed above the cutoff, but certainly a vast improvement over a cheap eBay LED drop in. They offer yellow or white color. Also, they offer the same sizes in SL1 LED headlights, but those put out 2x as many lumens per bulb, so I would advise against those for a fog light application. In short, if you have too much light right in front of your vehicle (where fog lamps project the light) your pupils constrict because there is enough light, and this ends up decreasing your distance vision. Not the best thing for night driving.

Thank you! I’ve already tried Piaa and Oracle, both not adequate. Ordered a pair of 80watt leds from Japan, forgot the name but will definitely look into these

Wow I didn’t realize I never read the rest of your message.. I saw thank you and thought it ended  but PIAA is usually regarded as decent, but Oracle is widely regarded by car lighting enthusiasts (including me if you couldn’t tell, LOL) as garbage. They market their stuff super well and it all looks cool but it doesn’t last long and doesn’t perform well. Diode is expensive, $120 for the fogs, but their customer service is pretty good and their products are really good. So I’d hope to never have to change them ever.

I’ve used PIAA’s most for my SUV and Trucks for approximately 30 years, never ever any issues. Oracle, first time cause couldn’t get a bright enough HID replacement plug and play to replace the crappy Halogen headlight bulbs. They’re working great but now that I’ve complimented them they’ll start giving me issues lol. Not worried about the cost just want them to do as advertised. Always look bright on advertising then dim after install. I’m going to wait for the 80 watt Japanese bulbs and if they’re not working well either I’ll just drink a bottle of wine and order the fourth pair but this time through Diode. Very much appreciate your time. [emoji3577]
