I have e the same squeak. But it sounds like styrofoam. Which side of the truck is this harness located ?

That's exactly how I described it at times....as if two incredibly loud pieces of Styrofoam were being rubbed together. I was told it on the driver's half of the firewall but I do not know the exact location. It was all buttoned back up by the time I saw it. GM doesn't seem to be documenting issues like this very well after they are resolved in the field. The GM Field Engineer who finally got involved on mine had seen something similar before and it was resolved the same day, yet the folks that my dealer had been working with had essentially said "Good luck, let us know what you find". If your dealer is unable to get the information needed to resolve it, have them contact Dave Cross Buick GMC in Lee's Summit, MO and ask for the service manager. He will be able to get them the info.

I know i have been dealing with a super annoying rattle in my dash area and thought for sure it was on the upper part but i ended up holding the plastic cover directly under the steering column and the noise stopped. A quick search on the net turned up this video..

Pretty much shows how lose some of the bolts holding these trim piece can get, i know this is the older model truck but i would not doubt if the pieces used are very similar since the interiors are nearly identical from 14-to current.

I have the same loose bolt sounding rattle, did you ever solve it?

Funny that you ask this because i just dropped it off at the dealer to tighten those bolts today along with some other stuff i need done. I tried to get the panel off myself but i couldn't get the plastic panel to budge and didn't want to break it so asked the dealer to look at it as long as they dont try to charge an arm and a leg since it should take their tech literally 5-10 minutes to fix. Not sure that will solve all my rattles and noises but it is for sure one of the most annoying ones.

Certainly your 2019 is still under warranty, they shouldn’t charge you anything.

No it's under a extended gmpp plan but all their extended ones do not cover trim issues, i have a 2014 but i believe the trim around that area might be the same as the 2019 as the interiors are nearly identical, mainly was just trying to show how gm sometimes forgets to tighten things up. I believe the person in that video's truck was only 3 weeks off the lot new and that one bolt nearly fell out when he removed that panel.

Ah okay. Yes I think I have the same exact rattle, goes away when I apply pressure directly under the steering console

Well i would bring it to the dealer and tell them to look under that panel and tighten the bolts, make sure they use some lock tight so they don't back out on their own again. Only driven a few miles so far but the results are very good and it seemed to quite it up a good bit.

Rattles drive me crazy....I just traded in a 2018 Colorado zr2 on a RST crew because of all of the noises and rattles it had....My kids used to call it the Colo-RATTLE !

I hope the RST doesn't start

"colo-rattle" hahahaha.

I have an RST and it has that same rattle coming from passenger side, when I get home I'm going to check the mud flap and see if any bolts are missing

Yep, sure enough was missing the bolt that connects to the backside of the mud flap.  The dealership mailed me a bolt, but it was wrong one, so I'll probably have to take it in to get the correct one on.

I had the same issue, missing bold from the mudflap. Rattle Rattle Rattle.
