Part Number Needed

2002 Silverado 1500 Standard Cab

I need to find the part number for this piece. I'm not sure what it's called but it's the cover that goes over the blower motor under the dash on the passenger side. It's the first thing that needs to be removed when replacing the cabin air filter. I've seen it called a "hush cover", "blower motor access cover", etc. The picture came from a part that had previously been sold on eBay. You can see part of a number on the cover but not the whole number. Google searches on the partial number have come up empty. Thanks.

Can't help with a p/n but it is called an "instrument panel insulation panel". There were 5 different ones available but only 2 may still be available. Call a dealer with your VIN.

I think that’s one of those perfect pieces to grab at a junkyard. Even in terrible trucks that piece is probably functional. Good luck!

Two numbers. 15177868 if you have buckets and center console, 15177869 if its bench. The first won't fit if you have a regular cab, so it would be 15177869, and it is Discontinued. It was $63.09 MSRP for a new one when they were available.

Junkyard, ebay, etc.

I might actually have one of these! Had a 99 Z71 extended cab my daughter wrecked & I bought it back from the insurance company & then stripped it of anything and everything usable. Including almost the entire interior. Let me see if I can track that thing down & I'll get back to you Tuesday.

While you are at tell me the bolt screw size used to secure it. I’m currently using a wood screw lol

That would be great. I found one on eBay back in December and the guy wanted $62 for it. I hesitated and it sold. Now I can't find another one. If you find it let me know and I'm sure we can agree on a price, provided it's the right part. In the post above it says that there's a different part no. for bucket seats with a center console and it won't fit in my standard cab truck.

According to the GM parts diagram, the part number for the bolts is 11589015, and is size M4.2 X 1.4 X 20. Amazon has a kit: https://www.amazon.com/General-Motors-BOLT-11589015/dp/B008Y8SIO0

Just PM'd you with pix...found it, hopefully it's the one you need. And it would be nice to get that out of my shop I still have a decent amount of interior parts from the truck when my daughter wrecked it in fall of 2017, so if anyone needs anything please let me know (no engine or drivetrain parts, mainly just interior stuff and smaller parts & pieces). Most parts will fit the 99-02 trucks, some will also fit the 00-02 Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon.
