Leveling 2018 Silverado

Let me start by saying on my 2015 Silverado I had the bilstein 5100 installed and really liked it but on my new 2018 I (after looking through some threads on here) decided that I wanted to go with the eibach pro lift.

So here’s my dilemma, I went to my local Offroad shop and talked with a guy about getting this installed and he basically told me that he’s had customers have issues with the springs collapsing. My first question is has anyone had issues like this?

The next thing that he said was to just do the puck leveling kits. Which I thought was weird for 2 reasons; first he’s basically down selling me and second I’ve always heard that doing the pucks is much harder on your suspension. What are everyone’s thoughts on this?

I have pucks on my 17 silverado and plan on doing the eibach springs and shocks when it warms up. Waterfowler41 on here has them and hasnt had any issues. Not sure why your offroad store is encouraging pucks though

I have both Bilstein 5100 set at the top setting, and a 1/4" lower spacer.  I have zero issues or complaints.  The Bilsteins are awesome compared to the bouncy Max Tow spec shocks that came on my '18.  They have been on my truck for almost a year and I have no issues with the springs or anything that they mentioned.

How much of a lift are you looking for?

It’s just a leveling kit I think it’s 0-1 in the back and 0-3 in the front if I’m not mistaken.

That’s what I couldn’t figure out. If anything I would have though he would try and up sale me on some fox suspension.

What offroad store was it? I agree that if anything they would push a full lift or fox coil over. That's what 4 wheel parts in kansas city tried doing to me then I brought up eibach and they didnt say much but that's because they dont carry them to my knowledge

It was allout Offroad in Houston. When I asked him if they handled eibach he said they did but then went into his spiel about just doing the pucks. His reasoning was that the suspension gm uses is better than any aftermarket suspension you can buy, but I have a z71 and they put ranchos on there which unless I’m crazy is an aftermarket suspension...[emoji848][emoji848]
