Not enough headroom

I just bought a 2009 Tahoe LTZ and the headroom is not doing it for me. I am 6’2” on a very good day and I try to sit up very straight because I have back and neck problems. With the seat bottom all the way down and the seat back fairly straight, I am smashing the top of my head on the headliner. Like it’s not even close.

I figured a full size vehicle like this would not have this problem but here I am. Is there something else I can do with my seat that I am missing? If not is there some kind of mod I can do for more clearance up there?

thanks for any ideas. If I can’t figure this out my wife will have to drive the car.

I read in a few places online that headroom is supposed to be 41”. I measured and got 36.5”. Is it possible the previous owner modified it somehow?

If you adjust the seat some more you should be able to get it down some more.  It's high in the back towards the bottom and low in the front.  Even that out and drop it down again.  I'm not near as tall but probably twice as wide and wear my Sam Houston with a 5" brim without hitting anything.
