Rancho RS9000 reviews?

I'm looking at the Rancho RS9000 adjustable shocks for my 2018 Sierra. I'm wondering who here has or does use them currently.

I'm not looking for people to tell me to get Bilstein 5100 or Eibach. While I understand they are excellent choices, the adjustment factor of the RS9000 is what piques my interest.

I had a set of these on my '94 RCSB Silverado when they first came out.

All 4 failed under 20K miles.

The adjuster knobs froze up/broke off.

Not sure if the quality is any better today or not.

Other than that the dampening selection was pretty much useless. They had a Range of 0-6

0 being loose as a goose and 6 was firm and pogo stick like. I kept all 4 at 3 for normal driving and they were ok.

5-6 in the rear when towing or hauling heavy loads.

Compared to Bilstein or other brands these 9000's do not seem to be as popular or heavily reviewed. Check youtube.

Are you going for the front Quik Lift loaded 2" height adding 9000's ?

There are a couple of F150 owners with reviews of them on youtube, but pretty scarce info on them for our K2's

I have them they seem good for the money got all 4 for 500 in eBay if you get them they do have the adjustment from 1 to 9 and yes before install which is very easy take each knob off and I bought marine grease at Walmart just put some where knob goes there is a YouTube video how to do that it’s only 2 screws

How do they differ from the stock ride? Do they make the drive more smooth, and take bumps without the sharp rebound?

I would say better than stock now the ride depends on the number you set it on I’m right now at 7 if I remember right which they recommend to go high numbers if doing highway driving higher numbers get stiffer lower will be more bouncy for off road

I suppose it would be hard to duplicate the stock rough ride.

These don't level the front do they? Do you have your front leveled at all?

One thing you voided warranty on the shock department

The ones you used in front, were they for a lift or for stock height? Are you stock height besides the Rancho shocks?
