HMI Upgrade

I would like to upgrade the HMI in my 2014 Silverado, do I need a certain part number or just a 2.0 version that has a gps antenna connection to get programmed. Thanks

Try the "Search" button in the upper right.  There are a couple very long threads about this with part numbers listed in some of them.

This is the go to thread on here for this. IMO if your going to go through the hassle might as well upgrade to a 2.5 set? Even if you don’t this thread will explain what you need to do.

 

 

There are several other ones on here also. The search feature on here sux IMO. I usually google something like 2015 silverado hmi upgrade gm-trucks.com to find what I want on this site.

Check out that thread, then contact WAMS and get your part numbers right.  I just did the full package (non-Nav HMI) on my 2015 and put the process on youtube.

I dont really care about carplay but would like the nav and text/talk upgrade.

That should work too, but realize that AA and CP allow you to run Google maps/Waze as your nav and if you upgrade the cluster (and maybe without), you can use the little phone button on the wheel to bring up Siri/Google assistant to text/navigate/whatever you can do with those guys.
