Dang it you had to mention Afe. I had not seen their exhaust. I had convinced myself I was just going to cut the flappers out and install a 3.5" muffler instead of buying a flipping $1k + catback. Now that I looked at the Afe with 4" in and dual 3" out for the 6.2 I might have to have it. I haven't found any clips on what is sounds like though. Afe has a clip of a 5.3 but I bet the 6.2 sounds a little different with the bigger pipes and muffler.

It sounds perfect on the 6.2, nice quiet rumble at idle, and aggressive when you get on it.

I bit the bullet and ordered the GM performance system. I just want something a bit louder in the low RPM and decent sounding when on the gas harder. The price sucks but I guess you pay for what you want.

Anyone know if the OEM dual exhaust can be taken off without cutting anything?

Consensus so far is it’s easy to do if on a lift but if on the ground it’s nearly impossible without cutting.

Directions on the flowmaster tell you to cut right after the Cat. Other than that seems pretty straightforward. Installing it tonight.

Just got it on the truck and first impressions are good!

It's got a really deep throaty sound. I'm liking it a lot, throttle response seems better also. No noticeable drone either.

Agree'd with RSTPilot. It's actually louder than I thought it would be. Funny that my wife had to take the truck today so I didn't even get to really test it out. She texted me though and said why is your truck so loud... haha. All in all took about hour and half to install and did it on the ground at stock height. I'm a decently skinny guy, it was a tight fit at some points lol.
