IO6 Question

We're looking into upgrading my Dad's IO5 to IO6 using the folks over at Infotainment. I have a few questions for people with IO6 or have done the upgrade. When using the factory nav, not onstar, with the IO6 system does the truck need to be in park to enter an address? Can addresses be put in via voice?

Has anyone tried the Linkswell factory nav interface box?

I put a separate module in mine when I did the upgrade. You may be able to get that programmed in. You also have to replace the radio as part of the I06 upgrade.

I went through MVI for mine. The radio and the I06 module are paired as far as i know.

I had factory Nav on my I05 and wanted to retain the feature so that was my experience.

X2 on mvi. They did the programming for my io6 upgrade.  I think you have to be in park to enter an adress.  I dont think ive used nav yet since i did it about a year ago though

You don’t have to be in park. It gives you a message that it wants you to be the passenger and you hit accept.

I found my unlock module that I installed in my truck. It's from PAC, p/n NU-GM51. It allows you to input destination while driving. You activate it by double pressing th rear defrost button and the accept the warning. 397d9e299caa120804d21a8c0b549864.jpg
