I am looking at buying a 2019 Sierra AT4 but the console instead of the jump seat is a problem for me. I have 4 kids and need the jump seat so we can all ride in the truck. My salesman said he doesn’t think it is possible to swap it out. I really didn’t think it would be an issue though. Is it possible to remove the console and install a jump seat?

I was told when I bought mine I could swap my jump seat to a center console so I’m assuming it can be done. But if you want to trade your console for a jump seat I’d be interested. My trucks a Chevy but I’m sure it’s the same console or jump seat

Is yours a cloth or leather? And black I assume? And does it have the storage under the seat?

Do you have Bose?  Subwoofer would prevent the swap.

I sense a Suburban/Yukon XL in your near future...

I didn’t think about the subwoofer. I haven’t bought the truck yet. I’ll have to check to see if it has it.

Any thoughts on whether it is possible if it doesn’t  have the sub?

If it doesn't have Bose, and no sub, you probably can do the swap.  Might have some wiring finagles for power outlets to tend to though, as the console has much more plugs in the console harness.  I'd find someone to trade with on the forum here perhaps, as there usually seems to be someone wanting a console for a truck that didn't have one.

Gotcha...I can deal with the wiring finagles if that’s all it is and it will bolt up. I don’t figure it will be too hard to find someone that wants to trade.Typically I would want the console, but with 4 kids I need the extra seat.

I'd be interested in swapping also. I have the extra seat configuration and would prefer the console.

I'm looking to do the same thing.

What would prevent the swap if it has a subwoofer in the console?

The subwoofer.  It bolts to the floor under most of the console.  Unplugging may result in radio issues/communications issues.

Frustrating! I'm trying to get a 2020 Silverado HD with the HD surround Vision and bench seat.

Its impossible.

I was looking to either do the console delete in an LTZ or upgrade the camera system in an LT.

Is there any reason you couldn’t relocate the sub to a separate box under the rear seat or something to keep from having any radio or communication issues?

I would think the biggest issue with this isn't relocating it. My first thought with it being bolted to the floor is that I would now have a big hole in the carpet.

Even though the seat swap is likely possible (it was on the K2s), you should really consider just buying a truck that already has the seating configuration you want. You may find that modifying the seats will end up costing more for a worse finish than if you just bought an SLT and added your own lift kit and tires. There are wires and harnesses that you may be missing, and holes in the carpet, its just not going to be as nice as a truck that was built that way.

If I were you that's what I would look into first. Its generally easier to get everything you want up front than try to install OEM parts after the fact.

But if you really want the AT4, you should look for a member named pgamboa who sells electrical parts for mods. He can probably tell you exactly how this would work.
