Flowmaster 70

Anyone out there have a 5.3 v8 with or without afm, with a flowmaster 70 installed no flapper or resonator? Any drone? How does it sound? Can you even hear it? Im just looking for a light rumble, for everyday driving. Not ear racking. Right now i have a super 44 installed with no flapper and resonator. It sound good but a little too much drone for me, not ovetboard, but still a noticable kind if annoying drone.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I have an OBS with a gen 3 6.0, longtubes, custom Y-pipe into a 70 series. 3 inch single in, 3 inch dual out dumped right before the bumper. Super deep aggressive sound, but near zero interior resonance. I'm sure you're aware there is quite a bit less sound deadening in a 90 vs an '18. I can try to get a driving around video later, but here is an idle clip for the hell of it.

I got a 50 series, flapper delete, AFM delete, that dumps right after the rear axle on my 015 5.3L crew that is otherwise stock exhaust wise. Normal driving it’s not even noticeable to me anymore but I never ran it with active AFM so can’t comment on V4 chop. The shop that did mine let me listen to 4 different mufflers on my truck before I decided on the 50 one of one was a knockoff 40 series I debated back and forth between these two as I feared the 40 would be to loud/drone and the 50 not loud enough. Some days I wish I’d done the knockoff other days (like when pulling a trailer) I’m content with the 50. I did a fair amount of research and video watching and from my research with just a muffler swap I think the 70 would have been to quite for me anyway.

Here is a thread with a guy that did a 70 series. He also did the 3rd cat delete which might be my next move on mine?
