Tow mode?

This isn't a big deal but it also changes the lane change blinker time.  If you move your turn signal slightly (it's spring loaded so it will bounce back to center) it will flash 3 times in "normal" mode and 7 times in tow/haul mode.

Whaaaat.

I'm gonna try that tomorrow. I've towed plenty with mine (the only instances I use tow mode) and never paid attention to that.

Some customers may comment that when towing or hauling a camper/trailer, the auxiliary battery for the camper/trailer will not stay charged. In most cases, this concern is blamed on the new RVC system. While the RVC system does reduce the generator's targeted output voltage to 12.6-13.1 volts when in "Fuel Economy Mode", this feature is bypassed if the tow/haul feature is enabled. With the tow/haul feature enabled, the RVC system will stay in "Charge Mode" and the targeted generator output voltage will be 13.9-15.5 volts, depending on the battery state of charge and the estimated battery temperature. To keep the generator in the "Charge Mode", use either of the following two methods.

• The first method is to use the tow/haul mode when towing or hauling a camper or trailer.

• The second method is to turn on the headlights, which will increase the generator's targeted output voltage to 13.9-14.5 volts.

The truck seems to be more peppy in Tow / Haul mode. Without Tow / Haul mode, there have been times where I've switched lanes, or some other maneuver where I tried to accelerate quickly, and the truck seemed to bog, drop one gear, then another before finally moving out, Tow / Haul seems to just drop a gear and go.....and I never consider someone giving their view, or advice, a jerk....no problem here.

So in that case you are in normal drive this is called pattern x in the tune. It is going for max mpg so it wants to upshift there are only two things that stop it pedal position called demand and rpm. But rpms are set high so not really a factor.
By bingbmore in the throttle or quick tapping the pedal hard the truck will say of something is needed it will down shift and then you can floor it. This is what I mean when I say learn the trans. In roll racing I have to go manually or do this trick yo hold away the shift. Sam for 2 down if the demand is high enough it with down 2 or down 1.
Sounds silly and most will never care, however if you learn this these trucks a much more fun.

In an empty truck or car if I’m feeling spunky and want to play a little I just go to manual mode. Tow-haul mode is what it says it is. Like the other poster say learn the engine and transmission.
