I got a 2019 Silverodo 1500 and it doesn’t have a factory trailer break controller can I put a factory one in ??

If you mean this OEM trailer brake controller?

Unfortunately no. GM does not sell it.

You have to go with an aftermarket box style controller.

Same with the 14 - 18, if it did not come from the factory with it, there was no way to add.

 

Aftermarket is now your best friend for this solution.

You likely also have to get the truck reprogrammed to enable it, and you probably won't be able to get that done.

Pretty sure @pgamboa was working on getting a factory TBC to talk to his cluster and BCM, but I don't know if he made any progress on it or not. T1 is a whole different animal, from what I can tell. Might be a good one for him to dig into if he gets the K2 figured out.

Factory controller can't be added after the fact on T1.
