Seats are fine for long distance drives.  My lower back is an issue but not in the AT4.  My back takes a beating after 3 - 4 hours in my C7 Corvette but not in the AT4.

As far as "hopping", a set of traction bars will eliminate the issue....

You sound like my twin. I have lower back issues. 2 rods and 8 screws. My C7 Vette (also RED)  becomes a little uncomfortable on the long haul, but I could drive my AT4 all day. The seats are way better than the F150's I'm used to. Then again, I'm 8 months post surgery and just went out and bought a new Harley as soon as Doc gave me the OK. Wheel hop is not an issue. A little bounce cause of leaf springs, but no hop. You'll love the truck.

I have about 7500 miles on my AT4 and have to say the seats are perfect for a mixture of long driving and off road use. I drive over several of the most technically challenging sections of highway in northern California including 25 miles of unpaved roads to get to my part time job and have never once felt uncomfortable. Along those same lines the only rear hop I get is on washboard roads along that route and it goes away if I keep it in 4 Auto. I love my AT4 and it is perfect for what I drive.

Just out of curiosity, are the seats in the AT4 different than the ones in the other trims or are all the T1 seats comfortable? How are the cloth seats?

Just saw in motor trend and an alex on autos video that gm retuned the suspension and shocks for the 2020 model, supposedly rides a lot better and hopefully will help with the rear end hopping.

Appreciate all the responses. I'm reasonably certain I'll end up going with an AT4 when I buy my truck at the end of the year.

It sounds like a mild tune on the suspension and heading more towards a softer ride. If there were any issues noted before I don't think it would be a huge enough change. What would be worth waiting for if you want it is the adaptive cruise control may be coming.  Alex seems to like the AT4 based off the coverage I have seen and it's what I bought. I got the 6.2 with the ten speed after talking to my brother who works for Alex.

Yeah I want the ACC too, that was a pretty huge omission for the 2019s in my opinion. Any improvements to the suspension are good though. Hopefully the tweaks will help with some of the issues with the ranches. If not, guess I'll upgrade to the bilsteins down the road.
