Have you experienced any snow driving yet with your new Acadia?   I suspect this is more of a tire question as most FWD vehicles are snow friendly!

Wifes front wheel drive Accord with M&S rated front tires will pull the snowy roads to our place.

My truck, no weight in the bed requires 4 hi to do it.
