Is this normal for a standard air filter?

A K&N taken out of one of my other vehicles after 35k miles. City/suburb driving. I think it filters out contaminants very nicely. Inside of intake tubing is spotless along with MAF sensor

Even though I’ve noticed zero performance difference swapping my K&N filter to the Wix light duty, maybe cause I left the sticker on the stock air box [emoji6]
