2019 silverado stereo wont read WMA's from USB stick

I have a USB stick with 20GB of music on it,  formatted FAT32,  folder are organized artist / album /  &  all files are tagged properly.

The Infotainment system will only show the folders that contain MP3 files.  any albums that are wma or other music files it acts like they arent on the USB drive.  It doesnt even show the folder as being on there, let alone the files.  Any ideas how to fix this?  Software update for the stereo?   Chevy manual says the system supports wma files.

FWIW this same USB drive works fine with the stock stereo in my 2012 corvette & all files show up.

thanks

The manual for my 2019 Infotainment doesn’t show WMA as a supported format.
