Possible Fuel Injector Problems

GM just sent me a notice in the mail regarding an advisement concerning fuel injector problems being reported in my 2017 Silverado. It is vin # Specific which mine is listed. 

Its not a recall but states if the injectors malfunction causing misfiring or producing codes I’ll be covered as they are extending warranty on this issue for 10 yrs or 150k. 

Has anyone gotten this letter yet?

They list the two engines as the 5.7L or the 6.2L.   Yes ! It says 5.7L. 

I called GM up and told them they only make a 5.3L and a 6.2L for my truck. 

The person thanked me for giving them a heads up on the typo of the 5.7L.

Apparently this guy got that letter also.

 

Maybe it’s just me but it’s kinda dumb that GM will warranty faulty injectors for 10 year/150k but the faulty vacuum pump for 6/72.

 

Guess stopping is less important than a running engine...

They have been having injector problems since 2014 models.

I got the letter too. When I saw 5.7L I was like huh. They already fixed my injectors 2 years ago. Brand new truck than.

It's funny they put down 5.7L. Now, I would take the 5.7L over today's engine all day long. Have a 97 that is still running great.
