LT 6.2 and 8 speed swap info?

Has anyone swapped a 14-16 6.2? Doing it this winter in my 05. Just trying to start getting any info I need and a parts list together. 

Also swapping an 8 speed trans. 

Mainly trying to figure out of I can make my stock cluster work along with all other stock options(abs, cruise, ac, ECT) Also wondering if my stock 4 button tcase will bolt to the 8speed or if there's an adapter currently available? Assuming my factory 4wd switch won't work with a newer tcase.

The short answer is no, none of your stock cluster stuff will work.

 

Nothing in your truck uses can-bus like everything NNBS and K2XX trucks do.

 

You will require just about everything from the donor truck. Complete engine and transmission. Complete wiring harness with fuse block. Pedal assembly and that stuff too.

 

Or you will have to purchase a swap harness that is ready to go.
