Front end popping

Has anyone had any issues with the Fox 2.5 making a popping sound when going over uneven surfaces or bumps? I can feel it in my feet. Been too 3 different mechanics and none of them can find out what’s wrong. Upper and lower ball joints replaced. Everything else seems good on it. I’m wondering if it’s from the coilovers. It’s driving me crazy.

Could be the leaf springs. I took by truck in To the dealer for popping in what I thought was the front end because I could feel it too. They told me it was the leaf springs and that it’s a common issue. Parts are on backorder.

A couple of things to look at on the front suspension. Check the bolts that hold the a-arms in place and see that they are tight. Mine were loose and allowed the arms to move when weight transfered to and away from the drivers side.

I replaced the shocks all around on my truck. Sometime later I noticed a bumping noise in the front. Seems like it was the where the shock comes through the center of the mounting plate was loose. Make sure that is tightened to spec. You can reach it better through the wheel well. I am away from my truck right now on vacation or I would add a picture.

Check sway bar end links or the frame where the sway bar clamps bolt in.

Thanks for the help! I’ll try doing all the above. I know my leafs are bad but I didn’t think the feeling would travel all the way too the front like that.

Keep me updated I know my leafs make a lot of noise but I didn’t think I could feel it in my front end like I am. Gonna try the bicycle tube trick and see if that helps.

in the front end on trucks the lower control arm bolts and cross member bolts can become loose and make a noise when turning in the front end. there is a bulletin to re torque all of this.

as far as the leaf springs noise this is typically heard when backing and turning like in parking lots, out of drive way etc.

there is a bulletin to replaced the leaf spring pads with new ones and if need replaced the shackles for the leaf springs

I think it was from the leaf springs. I cut sheets of rubber and put between them and I no longer feel it in the front end.
