OEM bumper vs Aftermarket OEM replacement

Most people swap out their factory housings for Rigid or other replacement housings anyway. Get what you want and either way you’ll need a switch that you’ll be able to install anywhere you’d like

this on allows for the fogs to stay on with the high beams (you can do this with a resistor with the factory harness anyway)

Wouldn’t it just be simpler if he just wired the new lights and added a switch to be able to turn them off or on whenever he wanted? Always was the way I did it in the past vehicles.

Well I officially have all of my OEM parts gathered for this project. I drop my truck off this Thursday to have everything installed. I've read a bunch of posts here saying that for K2's the BCM can't be programmed to run the OEM fog lights if it did not come with them from the factory..

However, I double and triple checked with my local dealer's service department and they're pretty confident that they can reprogram/flash the BCM. I have my doubts since no one else on here has had luck doing so.. but I'll keep my fingers crossed, wish me luck!
