Speaking of CarPlay...I love the new update they did for iPhone, but wondered if there is a way to configure using the one view to showing Waze instead of Maps (the one that shows Maps, your ipod/iPhone music and directions).  I get that Maps is Apple and Waze isn't but wondered if there is anything you can do setup wise to switch that.  Also wondered when using that view if instead it would let you show what's playing on XM instead of what's on your iPhone?  Not sure if I am making sense lol, but can send a pic of the view in question...

I’ll jump on this bandwagon.   ‘19 GMC Sierra and the black/colors are washed out.   On my wife’s ‘18 Chevy Equinox it looks fine.   Both GM vehicles with factory HU’s

I’m a map editor for Waze so I’m constantly driving around with Waze open watching for map discrepancies.

Just purchased a new 2019 RST over the weekend. So far loving the truck. That said, when my phone is connected and using Apple Carplay, I feel like the black levels are really washed out. It almost appears grey. I can't tell if this just the angle that the screen is at (which I think could be part of it) or if there is something wrong with carplay.  When you are on the stock radio interface there is a lot of black and its a very dark/deep black. I realize this is kind of a knit pick, but just curious if anyone else has noticed this?

Same here, (2020 GMC AT4), it has nothing to do with the LCD not displaying black, although not "True" black like you get from OLED.

But look at the stock OEM NAV, it has dark blacks, but the CarPlay contrast or brightness is way off, looking washed out, my 2016 Silverado Car Play displayed dark blacks and vivid colors, same with my wife's 2019 Honda, dark blacks and vivid colors using Car Play, All using the same phone and cable, I wonder if GM wants you to purchase the OnStar package so NAV will show up better than Car Play.

It's really frustrating.
