Howdy,

From Europe, I have put in a new Ignition lock. and did the work in Park Stand. remove the steering wheel and back on. everything works normal, (the key won't turn in Reverse/D/1/ 2) key will turn only in Park and Neutral correct way.  but the engine won't crank.  You can see at the pics!  No ignition / Ignition On / and Start position but Won't crank!  only the Temp Gauge flies out to the right

Greetz.

What was the reason for the repair?

Did it do this prior or what happened?

Have you checked for power or checked the battery cables at the starter and grounding points on the frame?

You could even jump the starter with a screw driver to see if the starter still works.

Dearest, The battery is new, the cables + and - are new installed. the park/neutral switch below the steering column the sockets is light corroded cleaned them up. I have tuned the position for park! than I have a closed contact that's oké but in neutral I can't get closed contact? Why  does the temp gauge fully goes to the right when I turned the key to start? can I put a bridges over the sockets at the switch  Park/neutral?? I will try to start with a screwdriver first. how do you pull out the park/neutral switch at the steering column it's all white plastic and I see no screws! where can I find some electrical schema of the switch? I have installed a brand new Ignition Switch w/Key from a Chevrolet Corvette 1981! in to the cheyenne. it was looking almost the same as the broken one from the Cheyenne. everything works turn around and so on. just won't crank the engine? al those GM ignition switches looks the same or don't they?
