Amsoil Production Date Code on Bottle?

Question for those Amsoil gurus out there.  Is there a production date or code on the quart bottles?  A local store near me has Signature Series 0W20 for $9.99 a quart which is great deal, but all the bottles are quite dusty like they have been there for years, or who knows how long.  It's likely fine, as everything I've see seems to suggest shelf life is 5 years but was hoping to find a date code to see exactly how old it really is.

There is a date stamped on the bottom side of the front of the qt bottles.  It should be month day year,  100719  which is October 7th, 2019.

Snap a picture of the label.  That also can tell me how old it is.

fantastic, thanks for the help.  I'll stop by the store take a look and grab a pic tomorrow.  I'm sure it's fine but something just not right about cracking open a bottle of oil covered in dust.

fair enough... I'd say more than a little, enough to clearly write your name in it.  Think of an old car in a barn for years,.  Now that's an exaggeration of course but is kind of what it reminded me of.  I'll grab a pic when I get to the store.

Sorry to not come back to this for a while, few things came up and never got back to the store until today.  So interestingly enough, when I returned today all the old stuff was gone and looked to be replaced with new stock. Wish I had got a picture of it when I was there originally. 

 

Black02Silverado thanks for the info on the date stamp, I took a look at the new bottles and look to be from July 2019. 

 

I got 8 quarts of 0W20 signature series on sale for $9.99 a quart at Farm and Fleet in Montgomery IL, if anyone's in the area and interested, although their prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit.
