Bedline tailgate?....

I know this is me being super anal and trying to keep a truck as new looking as possible for as long as possible but anyone bedline the plastic panel on the inner tailgate? I think it wasn’t done by GMC because of the multi-tailgate and weight or something?

I see no benefit to this.

I think any bed liner applied is gonna peel or scratch easily and look worse than scratched plastic. Even when you get a bed liner sprayed at Line X they don’t touch plastic panels like that. Have to think it’s because nothing really sticks to that material. I know my BedRug velcro doesn’t like it...

The tailgate has the plastic cover in it for a reason....spray-on would add too much weight

Main reason for the plastic is that the aluminum tailgate would get dented and wrecked in a hurry otherwise. The plastic is stronger and doubles as the closeout panel for access to the inside of the tailgate.

And I'm sure you can always just replace the plastic liner if need be.
