Center console latch stuck

Went out this morning to run some errands and noticed the center console latch is stuck.

16 Sierra SLT.

 

Got it open after 15 mins but seem like the spring action is weak in the latch.

 

When pressing the lever it doesn't release the latch completely.

Mine will do this every so often. One good rap on the top of it right above the handle seems to put things back where they need to be. Once that stops "fixing it" I'll do something about it.

Pretty easy to swap out for a new one.

 

Great time to get a chrome one, that should have come with your trim level to begin with.
