Switching battery to other side??

I am wanting to move the battery from the passenger side to the spot on the driver's side under the hood. From the looks of it, doesn't seem too bad, but a couple wires are too short to reach. The ground wire appears to be bolted to the engine on the lower front passenger side. Would anything be harmed if I were to take it off the block and move it to the frame? The positive wires appear to be long enough to reach. But for some reason if any other these wires are too short, can I just splice into them with a same gauge wire without and problems? I don't want to mess up my electrical system! I plan on completing my custom CAI with my K&N filter over the winter, the battery is in the way where it is now. That's why I need to move it. DO NOT move the ground point.

DO NOT splice the ground wire.

Jusi buy a longer ground wire at any auto parts store.....

If you go longer cables, you'll need to get larger gauge cable. Right now, it's probably 8AWG, you'd want to move to 4AWG. But the cost is negible, just go with the 0/1AWG
