Wel, the idea has been thrown about quite a bit.  An although, it may be too late to do anything this year, a Summer 2003 event will definatly happen.

What would be great, is to have over 100 registrants, so that the cost is small for all. The key deal is place to meet!

So, lets take ideas! Where should be have the 2003 GM-Trucks.com "Truck-In"?

Well, I am lazy, so how bout y'all come on out to Vegas; this is a vacation city, we got a lake, lots of off-roading places, five billion hotels, shows, casinos, good resturants, babes, etc, etc.

How about Pigeon Forge?? It is in the middle of the South and is an awesome place for car shows!! :)  :D

Dead smack in the middle of the country. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. Or something close, that way it would be "easy" for all, instead of people on one area of the nation.

I think the logical thing to do would be to pick a location where we have the most members.  So if we had the most members in the South East then it would make sense to have it in the South East...catch my drift?

I really hate to be sellfish, but The only way it will be possible for me to come If we do it as a whole nation is if it was in Mid-Atlantic.

One cool thing that I think can be done around here in Richmond is maybe I could see about scheduling for us to do a few laps in our trucks at RIR. (Joke)Then have a block party on my street.(/Joke)

I have thrown this Idea out before, but I'll throw it in once again here.

How about Regional "Truck-Ins"?

The only problem with that is the fact that there is nothing to draw people. No offense intended, but I've been to Oklahoma, North Texas, and Kansas.

We need something that will not only draw us as members(sh!t, we'd meet in the middle of Death Valley just to talk and see each others' trucks), but make it an event that we can bring spouses and kids to.

Something Coastal(which will make it impossible for one coast to attend), or on a lake in the Midwest maybe?

Missouri? Country Music Hall of Fame...

Gulf Coast? Big Water...

Hey, could come to Riverside Drive here in Tulsa. saw a 550 Maranello there today.  Down the street is Ventura Classics, their current star is a restored  GT500 Convertable, and a six-pack coronet. They sold the COPO Camaro(69) and an old Big-block vette(LS5 I think, maybe).

Oh yeah, its right next to the Arkansas, the best sight of it in OK, too. Plenty of parking space, and LONG curvy 4 lanes. And around the corner is A big, nice park, with a huge Rose Garden by it

Oh yeah, Art museum by it too

Pigeon Forge sounds like a good place.  There's plenty of other things to do for family members and for us to do too.  Plenty of hotels and campgronds.  And it is a good place for car shows.
