2014 Key fob will not lock the truck

Whenever I hit the lock button on my keyfob it unlocks the truck. The unlock button does nothing and the remote start button also unlocks the truck. I have no way of remote starting or locking the truck via the fob.

 

I have replaced the batteries and done a search on the forums here.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Here is another recent thread on here with similar remote problems.

 

I’d start by trying the unhook the negative battery cable trick. It seems to “fix” a lot of the electrical problems with these trucks. & it’s free to try.

that did not work.

 

sadly it made matters a whole lot worse

 

after reconnecting the negative and putting he key into the iginition. the truck threw every error at me and now it will not even try to turn over.

Yeah mine has been intermittently working for the past few weeks. Works like 50% of the time. Unhooking the ground worked but the next day it stopped again. Definitely not a battery issue either. After reading through a bunch of threads, it looks like it is most likely the RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver) going bad. I saw one person that said he replaced the fuse and fixed it, but that didn’t work for me.
 

After the holidays I’ll probably have the RCDLR replaced (apparently it’s in the rear of the cab and you have to remove the headliner to get to it). I’ll update the thread if this fixes the issue. Hoping my B2B warranty covers this....
