AMP Research Power Step Conversion (Compatability)

Hello everyone, first post on here so please redirect me if this is in the wrong sub-forum or has already been discussed. 

That being said, I've been trying to find an answer to this question throughout this forum and others but have not found a clear answer, so I'm hoping some of you might have some experience or knowledge about this. I've been searching for a set of used AMP Research power steps for a while and recently found a set on facebook marketplace for a great price, but they appear to be from an 07-13 Silverado/Sierra (I have a 2016 GMC Sierra SLE Crew Cab). The steps have the brackets and actuators, but no electrical harness. My first question is, could I simply buy a new wiring harness and wire it up or are there other components missing that I'd have to replace as well? My second question, would these steps be compatible with a 14-18 GMC Sierra, even if it requires some modification? They appear to be pretty similar, but I've never installed power running boards like these and don't know the differences between the undersides of the different body styles. If anybody could explain or give me some advice before proceeding I'd greatly appreciate it!

You will need all of the electrical which is a good portion of the price component, and probably motors that’s why he’s getting rid of these ones without the electrical. With these steps and you will need completely different brackets these will not work on your year truck. You may be able to modify them if you have some pretty good fabrication experience but I would either  keep looking for some more use ones for your vehicle or just wait until you can buy some new ones. I think The seller selling them for $100 when originally there around the $1400 area it’s pretty self-explanatory to the quality and condition.

That's pretty much what I was thinking but I figured I'd at least see if anyone has any experience doing something like this before. I have a fair share of fabrication experience but don't think it would be worth the time or money if it's not as feasible as I originally thought. Thanks for your response
