Both transmissions will bolt right up to each engine. The key is making sure everything else is hooked up properly, especially if it has a TV cable connected to the throttle body, or carburetor linkage. If that TV cable is set wrong, you'll be doing the job twice, minutes after the first drive.

Driveshafts the same? Ones a longer others not

Should be identical, so long as they're both 2wd, or both 4wd.
