I know there 2 different trucks but they are not the new T1 2019 new body style. Maybe you need to post this in the 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra section. People might think the problem is on the new T1.

I have a 2020 Silverado 3500 High Country with same problem. Dealer said they’ve never seen it before, they ordered a new window assembly and want to replace it by bringing in an outside glass company!

You should be reporting this to NHTSA. That is a serious fire risk. If those wires are getting hot enough to melt plastic it could start a fire.

This is a 2020 truck, I originally thought someone tried to break into it from the original top piece but now it makes sense after last Friday’s issue
