Another new toy!!!

Shaners

As some of you know, I'm re-living my second childhood now, and I have become somewhat addicted to "Nitro" powered RC cars.  I just bought another one...

This is a 1/8 scale Ofna Hyper 7 buggy.  It is a 4wd with a "big-block".  It should run about 40+ mph!!!

In addition to it, I have a 4wd Tmaxx truck (awesome SOB) and an RC 10 GT (Team model) 2wd truck...

I always wanted one too, but I had never seen one run before.  I was at the track a little over a week ago, and a couple of guys showed up with their buggies...  Once I saw them run, I knew I was going to get one.  I would have liked to gotten a Kyosha, but they are too much $$$.

One of the other guys that bought one of these buggies at the same time I did is building a track as I type.  His father-in-law is giving him the ground, and the use of the backhoe.  They will Roto-till and roll it today, and then lay the jumps in it later this week.

Very cool

We use to have one, but is now a gas station. We run on an indoor track now  :)

They are antig

They are also very expensive as well. I have close to $700 - $800 in my setup now, could spend another couple hundred to get things tweaked. It's currently sitting on my bench now that it's fishing season  :)

Shaners - Do you need a controller? I have an extra I don't need.

it should do a lot more then 40 if you tune it right, and have a decent engine. my Ultra MBX does about 60ish with the RZ-V99b. but havent ran it in a while. been working on the JPS Clod, and Juggular, and the boats. electric monster trucks are more amusing at this point then the buggy. also run my micro a little too. still need to paint the 68 camaro and C5R bodies i got it for.

After 12 tanks of fuel I finally got it tuned and broken it!!!  It's running at a very consistant 221 degrees.  Man this thing really rips!!!  WooHoo!!!  I can't wait to get it on the track.

This buggy came with the Ofna Hyper .21 rated at 1.9HP @ 35K RPM.  After a few gallons of fuel I'll proably tear the motor down for a good inspection, and then port it while it's apart.  My OS CVX .15 in my TMaxx is ported and I'm running a higher compression head.  The OS CVX .12 in my RC-10 GT

"Team" has never been apart yet.

Bassdog,  what do you have for a controller?  I'm running a 3-channel Futaba FM in the Tmaxx and a Futaba AM in the RC-10.  This Ofna buggie came with a very generic Airtronics Blazer AM set-up.  I should probably just buy another FM Rx for the buggie because my Tx has three model memory.

It's an Airtronics CX2P 75Mhz FM. It has the FM module, but I don't have a FM receiver I can use with it. Bought it off Ebay fairly cheap, but the guy selling it didn't get back to me in time to answer my questions. Had I known it didn't have a receiver I wouldn't have bought it.

Pretty cool cars!  Im into Nitro RC too!  I sold my Rc10GT to buy a T-maxx, I love it, its a load of fun, I even ported the engine and the exhaust manifold to make some extra power!149412_45_full.jpg

Cool Trucks! I would love to get into that but I don't have money for that.
